Your lunch wallet

Orders are paid from your wallet — a prepaid balance on your account. Open it from Wallet in the Ordering menu to see your balance and a full history of every charge, credit, and refund.

Adding funds

Click Add Funds and choose an amount — presets or a custom amount, with a $20 minimum per top-up. You can pay by card, Link, or bank transfer (ACH) through our payment processor, Stripe. Card receipts come from Stripe directly.

  • Card — funds are available immediately.
  • Bank transfer (ACH) — funds are usually credited right away while the transfer completes over the next few business days. If the transfer later fails, the credit is reversed and you'll receive an email. (If your balance was negative when you paid, the credit instead appears once the transfer fully clears.)

The wallet cap

There's a limit on how much your wallet can hold, based on your school's maximum daily lunch cost, your number of students, and the school days remaining in the year. The top-up page tells you the most you can add; the cap shrinks naturally as the year winds down. (If your remaining headroom is under $20, you can top up just that amount.)

Auto top-up

Never get caught short at ordering time:

  1. On the Wallet page, save a card (or check "Save my card" during a regular top-up).
  2. Turn on Auto top-up and set a threshold and amount (defaults: below $10, add $40; the amount must be at least $20).

When you submit an order and your balance is below your threshold, your card is charged automatically. If a charge fails, auto top-up switches itself off, the reason is shown on your Wallet page, and you'll receive an email — re-enable it after updating your card. Auto top-up works with saved cards only. Removing your saved card turns auto top-up off.
